“FASHION FOR IMPACT” PROJECTS
As the creator, director, and producer of this documentary series, we aimed at raising awareness about sexual assault. My team member Julia and my goal were to create a safe space where viewers could recognize that they are not alone in their experiences. The documentary was honored with the "Humanitarian Scholarship" award for its impactful message.
Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, I organized and produced a virtual fashion show that aimed to motivate individuals to dress up and present their best selves. The show emphasized the idea that when you look good, you tend to feel good and consequently perform better.
We initiated a project in the realm of sustainable fashion, named "Thrift It," which aimed to make an impact. The project was successful in collecting over 1000 pieces of clothing from the students on our campus, which were then thrifted back to the community.
With the funds raised from this project, we were able to support the Women Empowerment and Education program in Ghana by purchasing training materials for the sewing program. This initiative was a step towards promoting ethical fashion and women's empowerment.

RUNWAY FOR ALL
We successfully hosted our annual Fashion and Retail Association Fashion Show. The theme of the show was Winter in Florida and we named the show Beanies & Bikinis.
It took months of planning and brainstorming, lots of email writing and team meetings, lots of resource gathering, and a couple of hours of rehearsal and running.
I was just amazed by the effort and time that goes into hosting a small fashion show.
I wanted to thank BriSea Swim LLC for collaborating and sponsoring all our swimsuits. All of BriSea’s fabric are ECONYL, which is made entirely from the ocean and landfill waste.
